30 Oct Is a Google Play and iOS/Apple Developer Account required?
To publish to the Google Play store you are welcome to release under our App Media developer account at no cost to you.
However, if you would like to publish your app under your own Company/Business account and brand your app to your name, we recommend having your own Google Play developer account.
To sign up for a Google Play developer account (recommended) there is a one-time $25 registration fee. You can do so here:
Be sure to click > ‘Go to developer Console‘ > then the ‘Sign Up‘ button in the top right hand corner and follow the steps from there.
To publish to the iTunes Store (iPhone and iPad apps), Apple requires you to have your own iOS Developer Account. This is a paid account, which costs $99 yearly to maintain an active status. You can sign up for this account here:
